I use formalist abstraction to conjure, and make experiential, artificial reality. This is achieved through the internal mechanics of a work's essence, as realised upon completion. The consequence of employing mechanismic formalism is invariably a prescribed value system which renders human experience subservient in its equation, though a painter inherits the legacy of gesturalism which he must choreograph and wholly imbue with this new faith. Though profundity never resides ouside the conceptual, the proportions, layering and sequences of its conceptual ingredients make it ultimately abstract.
