Since graduating from NCAD in 2005 with a 1st class honours degree, Brendan Flaherty has exhibited widely around Ireland, including EV+A and Belltable Arts Centre in Limerick, chq in Dublin,
The Granary, Waterford, Ard Bia, Galway and the Form Gallery in Cork.

In March 2007 Pallas Contemporary Projects hosted Magic Drawings in the Womb of the Living Earth, his first solo exhibition .

Flaherty is concerned with the reasons for making art. He explores a continuous lineage of image making from prehistoric cave painting right through to modern graphic production. Employing a palette of vibrant and unnatural colours he inserts characters liberated from pictorial history into newly invented stages and scenarios where visual genres jostle and collide.
